Proper Online Accreditation

Saturday, December 6th, 2008

Due to the enormous amount of information available in the internet, it is possible that information on the internet may misrepresent the truth, be out of date, biased, or just incorrect. One example are hoax websites. Hoax websites may portray themselves as another organization and ask for donations of money. Often, these types of sites not only contain unreliable information but are also criminal in their activity. For this reason, the most important thing to check out before you begin any kind of distance learning program is the accreditation the school has, or claims to have. You have to make sure that the online school or learning program you are interested in is a legitimate one. Simply having a statement about being “licensed by the state” isn’t an accreditation and may not mean anything at all. There have been many violators that claim accreditation from agencies that either don’t exist, have been created by the school itself, or are legitimate agencies but have no record of accreditation for the school. Students who are enrolled or have completed degrees from schools that are not accredited have wasted a lot of time, money, and effort on a degree that may be rejected by potential employers. Credits from schools that are not accredited cannot be transferred to other universities. There are several state-based and regional accrediting bodies. Each is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. To find out whether the school is truly an accredited college, contact the appropriate State Department of Higher Education.

Thursday, December 4th, 2008

How is this related to online classes then? Well, this type of education is not just for anybody. This type of online class is so different because of the manner in which one has to study. One has to be persistent independently and with little moral support from any actual instructors to guide you though and through. Because of the constant studying alone time that you will be able to enjoy, one might think that this is a struggle to get through to and actually finish but in fact it is often times than not faster because you get to concentrate more one the tasks and learning and knowledge at hand instead of the usual distractions that there are when you are in an actual learning environment such as peers and little noises that classmates might tend to do and create. Soon enough, after a little or a lot of hard work, it will pay off because a graduates degree usually gets one going for his or her future and with more persistence, one will be well off by himself and raise a family even if possible. You have to remember that in this world one will never amount to anything if he or she does not have even a little persistence. Whether you are just craving for something to munch on or wanting to graduate at the top of your class and pursue that big time law career that you have bee aspiring for since you are just a young boy.

The asset we have on education.

Thursday, November 27th, 2008

When one talks about an asset, it is something that increases in value over time and in education, despite all expenses, the knowledge that is put into ones’ mind is priceless and because normal classroom education is taken for quite a while, as a matter of fact at least three to five years, an online education can be an asset in itself. When the person is done internalizing the lists of things he’s interested into considering, he can make a long or short list of these interests and get brochures of the bachelors degrees that are offered by universities that might interest him in going to. Be sure to read very carefully the career choices offered for by every course so that you have a clean view of the options you would have once you finish college. Ones you have compared all available options, then you can compare these options to the list of interests that you have already written down. Order these choices as to the level of importance and that very important of them should have a lot of the interests that you will have. In internalizing himself, a person should first of all put into good consideration interests of his and things he takes seriously as a person. Having an online degree is in a way grooming oneself for a particular vocation for his future.  Take note that one must take into consideration the career path that would be fun for him. In saying fun, I mean fun as to having little problem doing these things as a vocation and for a long time leading to a very fruitful career.
