Persevere and you will see improvement through online classes.
Thursday, December 4th, 2008
When we say persistence to a child they would think to be pushy to get what they want. But when you say persistence to an adult or a mature adolescent they would immediately think to strive for what they want. Persistence is the key to success. How is this related to online classes then? Well, this type of education is not just for anybody. This type of online class is so different because of the manner in which one has to study. One has to be persistent independently and with little moral support from any actual instructors to guide you though and through. Because of the constant studying alone time that you will be able to enjoy, one might think that this is a struggle to get through to and actually finish but in fact it is often times than not faster because you get to concentrate more one the tasks and learning and knowledge at hand instead of the usual distractions that there are when you are in an actual learning environment such as peers and little noises that classmates might tend to do and create. Soon enough, after a little or a lot of hard work, it will pay off because a graduates degree usually gets one going for his or her future and with more persistence, one will be well off by himself and raise a family even if possible. You have to remember that in this world one will never amount to anything if he or she does not have even a little persistence. Whether you are just craving for something to munch on or wanting to graduate at the top of your class and pursue that big time law career that you have bee aspiring for since you are just a young boy.

The key to online classes is to read and understand.

Remember that you won’t have all those non-verbal cues that you get in the physical classroom and neither will your instructor. This is pretty much a huge difference of online classes that from regular classroom type learnings. Also, your instructor’s role will be much less that of the distributor of information, and much more that of a guide or resource for you in exploring an area of knowledge. Almost all your information will come in the form of words. Words on the screen help the instructor “see” you much more clearly. The teaching style used in online classes may be different from the traditional college model. Taking online classes means you won’t be sitting quietly in the classroom; participation is even more essential. This type of education would best benefits those that are well not really anti-social but those people or students who would prefer learning and understanding on their own and would just ask questions whenever they really have no idea what is being explained is all about. Another key is to have a well set scheduling for you. You will set your own schedule for your online classes. Your instructor will give you the deadlines and a suggested pace to make you successful, but it will be up to you to decide when and how often to go online. Most good online students check in every day or two to see if there are new messages or discussion items. This is just a basic idea of what to expect on online classes so make sure you fully understand are well into learning before trying it out.

Answer me this. Are you the type that would not want to be hassled with all the moving and traveling and preparing of things just to go to school? Are you not that type who would want to wake up early just to see that boring professor again? Are you the type who thinks that you can learn things better on your own time? Then online classes are right for you is your answer is yes. Online classes are designed to cater to the particular need of a certain type of student and that is to have a very flexible schedule. What are the ways that online classes provide convenience you ask? Well for one thing, the waking up very early problem is surely solved. You study anytime you like because there is no period to be rushed when it comes to online classes. But there are certain types of online classes that teach still as a group so just makes sure you choose the one that does not require this. Next convenience is to avoid un-necessary changes in your plans just because of changes in schedules from your school, college or university. Another is to avoid annoying professors that in you opinion, do not really teach that well and to avoid classmates that are stubborn and would just want to cheat of your home works, reports and examination papers. These are just a few things that an online class can provide you with and I am sure that once you get going in an online class then nothing can keep you from getting your dreams.

ups and downs of online classes.
Saturday, November 29th, 2008
Online classes can work for any student, just as a physical, onsite classroom with face-to-face instruction can work for any student, but we all know the quality of the “fit” with a particular instructor or a particular class environment varies. Upon and when you are taking online classes requires just as much time and effort as class on campus and there are some new twists for most of us. To see if online classes are right for you, you have to know if first you are the type who likes independently. If the answer is yes then definitely you will have lots of time for yourself because you will be working at home and relying on yourself for the answers so it really is a plus for learning and depending on your own but some what hard at first because there is no one there to support you first hand. When I say some one who will support you first hand, what I mean is an actual teacher or a professor that will literally and physically show you what to do and where to get the answers from. In this type of actuality, the tendency is to rely more on the teacher or the professor instead of figuring out and identifying the pro and cons or cause and effect of things and reasoning behind the answers and solutions. The plus side is that you will have a growing urge to learn on your own and grow independently from the help of others which is really quite good.
